The Greater Kansas City Black History Study Group is a chartered branch of The Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH), the founders of “Black History Month.” Each fall, local branches mark the anniversary of ASALH with an annual Founder’s Day program.

Walk the Walk is about action, and will showcase the great people and organizations that are actively involved in making Kansas City a better place.
