Memphis is a musical by David Bryan (music and lyrics) and Joe DiPietro (lyrics and book). It is loosely based on Memphis disc jockey Dewey Phillips, one of the first white DJs to play black music in the 1950s. It played on Broadway from October 19, 2009, to August 5, 2012. The production won four 2010 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

This musical looks at a time when the music business had drawn the line between Music and Race!

Former radio personality and dj, Max has been instrumental (see what we did there!) in the bringing to life the music of the Four Tops, Chaka Khan, Count Basie, Dave Koz, The Temptations, and many others he has worked with and played alongside throughout the years! 


We present to you The Creative Kickback, where you will experience an oppourtunity to network and mingle with creatives and young professionals of color. Also featuring a panel of distingushed cultivators of the culture discussing their journeys so far in their careers.
