ShotTracker is an Overland Park-based tech venture with a mission to improve the performance of competitive athletes who participate in team sports at all levels by bringing elite-level analytics to the masses. With funding from high-profile investors that include Magic Johnson and fomer NBA Commisioner David Stern, ShotTracker has been piloted and used by the NCAA and was used in the NAIA Men’s Basketball Championships for the last two years. The easy-to-use ShotTracker system includes electronic sensors installed in a facility's rafters that can map a basketball court in 3D. During a game or practice, ShotTracker gathers data by following real-time movements of both the ball and players fitted with lightweight sensors. "ShotTracker is destined to revolutionize our game," David Stern has noted.
