You've heard it's "all about who you know". Well, it's true! This workshop will focus on relationship webs and how they often help or hinder our ability to impact our lives in meaningful ways. Our focus will be on government policy and initiatives important to Black business owners.
During this workshop you will learn how initiating, building and leveraging relationships can help you effectively advocate for the causes and issues important to you. Also, we will talk about how to 1) identify an issue, 2) solidify your point of view and 3) amplify it to the right people.
YPOC-KC is a new initiative led by KSI and HDF focused on diversity-centered resources and networking for the developing multicultural professional. Programming offered by YPOC-KC will be free and open to the general public as we look to partner with various organizations throughout the Kansas City area. Each YPOC-KC event will dig into the various diversity-focused topics that are essential to supporting and growing a diverse professional workforce in our city. Our goal is to assist young professionals of color in Kansas City in finding the support they need to help build and lead Kansas City.
