Street Medicine KC (SMKC) works to ensure access to quality health care and social services for Kansas City’s unreached, underinsured, uninsured, and service resistant homeless and at-risk populations. SMKC seeks to provide “street medicine”, a systematic outreach and approach to provide medical care directly to those living and sleeping on the streets through mobile services such as walking teams, medical vans, and outreach clinics.  Street Medicine is the first essential step in achieving higher levels of care through assertive, coordinated, and collaborative medical management and social services. 

This is our first gathering of poets, writers and contributors for the HerStory show. Please bring your written pieces and be prepared to share with the group. We are SOOO excited about this collaboration! Bring a friend!

This cooking class is part of a series on the Foundations of a More Plant-Based Diet.

Eggplant “bacon”-wrapped asparagus and Italian seasoned mushroom balls/patties with spiralized veggies. Both the eggplant and the mushroom bases have many options for other dishes and seasonings. You will learn about textures and seasonings and how to wow omnivores with vegan flavors and textures.
