A special first-time screening of Our Divided City by Kansas City-based documentary filmmaker Michael Price. Race 2 Unite KC 5K Run/Walk On October 8th, 2016, FCA will provide an opportunity to spark hope, love, and unity amongst all races as we unite together for a run down Troost Avenue. We will be hosting our 1st annual 5K run titled, Race 2 Unite KC followed by a Hope Rally in Theis Park. The 5K run will proceed down Troost Avenue, and will be the first of its kind. This event will serve as a platform to connect our community to local churches and community organizations. Our focus is to leverage the influence of the church to engage in a run down Troost and “Conquer the Divide.”

Hoots & Howls Hoots and Howls is packed with fun for all ages! From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. you can cruise around on a pedal tractor, navigate a hay bale maze and have your face painted like your favorite animal. Sing along with our interactive DJ and take a ride on the Scare-o-cel. Enjoy a hayride around the Zoo, and create a wild craft in the lobby. Our animals are joining in the fun by smashing pumpkins at scheduled times throughout the day. On Saturday see the gorillas enjoy pumpkins at noon, the chimpanzees at 1 p.m. and the orangutans at 2 p.m. On Sunday, the hippos receive their pumpkins at 11 a.m., elephants at 11:30 a.m. and rhinos at 12:30 p.m. #ForTheKids
