Luse-Hairs Salon and Brooklynn Creative, FEPC have joined forces to bring you an all in one exclusive event that provides a different outlook on creativity. The Freedom of Expressions Hair Festival and Thirty17 Fashion Show will take place at one of the biggest parks in the downtown Kansas City area.
Join us at Uzazi Village for a monthly gathering of neighbors and friends for meditation, food and community-building. Volunteers may arrive at 10:30 to help with set up. We will meditate upstairs and eat downstairs. Mama Hakima will facilitate a guided meditation from 11-12. From noon till 1:00 we will share a potluck meal. Each month the food theme will be posted, so folks can bring whatever they wish to add to the meal. Volunteers can stay to help clean up. There's no agenda other than to get to know our authentic selves, build community and do a little self care.
