The 20th Burning Sands Step Show is Kansas City's signature Black Greek Alumni event! Featuring celebrity host Shay Moore from KPRS Hot 103 JAMZ, the show will spotlight local and national step teams, fraternities and sororities and several special guests!

Join us in celebrating Mexican culture at our FREE “Día de los Muertos” festival with live music, art activities, food, and an innovative altar display featuring a 3-D Tree of Life with projected images of artwork by local artists.

We are opening our doors for all that would like to come celebrate our grand opening. Everyone is new here and we all are excited about the new location. Come eat, drink, and be merry. This "Mixing and Moving" event is designed to create a social and networking atmosphere, where Black professionals in the Kansas City area will have an opportunity to meet one another, connect with like minded individuals and begin to build a community of support and unity.

The event will feature special guest Dr. Susan Wilson, Vice Chancellor of Diversity and Inclusion at UMKC and long time advocate for the Black community.

In addition, poet laureate of the 18th and Vine District, Glenn North will be the guest performer!
