Disproving the myth that "there's nothing to do in Kansas City" one week at a time. Forward to colleagues, friends, & visitors and see you around town!
If you are a little tired of the "dating scene" and want something fresh, fun, and a little different than "Online Dating" or the kinda weird "Speed Dating" events, then this might be the event for you!
Kansas Citys version of Drunk Shakespeare returns with Henry V, drunkenly performed in under 90 minutes! These shows are performed script- and drink-in-hand. Each one is steeped in Shakespeare and full of random pop culture references!
With drinking games for the actors on stage and the audience, this is Shakespeare where anything can happen!
Find us at The Buffalo Room, in the back of Westport Flea Market. Theres a full menu and bar at your disposal!
So, we are going to have a speed dating night, a night where we shall lay out a bunch of our favorite games with awesome two player modes, everything from Love Letter to Scruples to Jaipur to Rivals for Catan to Battleship and start the matchmaking!
All event participants will sign in and will be matched with another player for a 15-25 minute game and then they will switch with some other people. At very least - it will be a chance to make new friends!
Each year more than 500 students, faculty, staff and community members make it a Day On instead of a Day Off by celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy of humanity and service. This is an amazing opportunity to be a part of a vital MCC tradition as well as a national event celebrating community service.
Kansas City's Alphas 19th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Breakfast. The free event, open to the public, is set for 7:30 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017, at the Beta Lambda Educational Institute, 2915 Swope Parkway in Kansas City, Mo.
The event includes a continental breakfast and musical tributes.
This annual holiday breakfast celebrates the legacy and contributions of Martin Luther King Jr., who was a devoted member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The fraternity led the project to build the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
On Monday January 16th, 2017, volunteers will join City Year's 2,500+ AmeriCorps members at locations across the United States to participate in a day of service. City Year commemorates the civil rights movement and honors the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by celebrating Dr. King's birthday as a "day ON, not a day off" through service projects such as mural and wall painting, and leading educational activities for children.
